Assassins Creed Revelations: Release Thoughts

Ubisoft has been rather sneaky and playful recently...releasing a series of teasers which hardly made any sense (until you analyse them carefully or read what others said). Finally, along with its 6th teaser trailer and most likely the last of it, the company have finally officially announced the release of Assassin's Creed Revelations, described as the final saga of Ezio's trilogy.

Revelations, due to release this November, features 3 playable characters - Altaïr, Ezio and Desmond. The game revolves around Constantinople, 'the heart of the Ottoman Empire' where an expanding force threatens to cause chaos in the region. Uncover new weapons and tools once again as you embark on another journey of revelation around the great Empire; and equipped with these new features, you will fight and over-throne the evils in an interesting, unexplored way.

At the thought of it, I was already cracking my brain on what exactly can Ubisoft integrate into the game..it seems that most of the skills and acts have already been practiced. So I thought and thought, but I still couldn't think of one..maybe I have to watch more movies to find the answer; but now, i'll just have to wait till November (guess what, it's exactly one year after the release of Brotherhood)!

Anyways, I was particularly delighted when I heard that a 'customizable multiplayer game' will be available as for me, it was the essence that made Assassin's Creed Brotherhood different. This may seem rather odd but it will be extremely cool if we get to multiplay using Desmond, Ezio and Altaïr at the same time! Think about it, three highly-skilled, greatly-renowned, almost-similar assassins on the constant lookout for each other... the outcome could only be devastating!

"Delivering the final chapter of the Ezio trilogy is an important milestone in the Assassin’s Creed franchise for us and for our fans. Assassin’s Creed Revelations includes lots of new features and some significant surprises. We can’t wait to show our fans what we have in store at E3 this year.”

Alexandre Amancio, Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal confirming that this will be last for Ezio. Though it really doesn't affect the entire game (it's just a name!), it is rather sad as I found Ezio a better-personality guy compared to Altaïr and his name...actually sounds cooler and slicker xD

climb, assassin!!

Take a look at the first screenshot Ubisoft released (maybe as a teaser as well as an introduction), picturing the spectacular city of Constantinople and a change in the outfit. The only thing that remained the same, after all the years since its first launch, was that all characters still maintained the remarkable, recognizable strength of building climbing - The Assassin's Creed brand. The only thing I hope for, is that no more delays!
