Portal 2 Video Game Preview

Official Release Date - Portal 2: 19 April 2011

Valve is a genius! They create games that are fresh both in the storyline and gameplay, and attract millions of gamers around the world - just like bites that leave behind blissful marks. People just seem to not forget games from Valve, and these games just seem to go on and on despite any new release (Counter Strike). 3 years ago, they introduced another member into their 'hall of fame' - Portal. Some of you may not have heard of this game, it may sound rather cool, or it may sound rather childish; but one thing was for sure, Portal 1 was indisputably a remarkable journey difficult to overlook once you have started...

As a prisoner in the Aperture Science facility, you play as Chell, the protagonist of the game; and although the perspective of the game is from a first-person view and you own a gun, it’s nothing like a FPS (first-person-shooter), it’s much, much better than that! For a start, the gun don’t shoot bullets to kill, it is better used to create holes (portals) in the ‘world’ to find your way through the puzzling surroundings…

Background Story
After 3 long-awaited years, you can finally return once again as Chell and continue his journey in Portal 2. This time, you are joined by Wheatley, a charismatic, happy-go-lucky robot with a, surprisingly, fascinating English accent as your tutorial.

Okayy..I have no idea why, but Valve decided to ‘revive’ GLaDOS, a super-human computer which controls the entire facility that you are in; and not surprisingly, it’s back for no good reason again as it awakens you from your deep slumber. Not knowing what happen, you find your surroundings totally different as the once gleaming white Aperture Science Labs has now been overwhelmed by plant growth in most areas…you then notice that it must have been years since your last quest.

your new buddy /tutorial - wheatley! :D
Unexpectedly, you stumble upon the once thought to be dead GLaDOS. From the first game, you destroyed her by dumping her personality cores into a futuristic furnace, ultimately destroying the facility and GLaDOS. Well, that’s only what you thought, but the truth was far from that, you will just have to find out by yourself ;)

Anyways, GLaDOS returns in the sequel then proceeds to accuse you of murdering her many years ago. As an act of punishment, she orders you to take more tests within the facility. While you’re ‘having fun’ along all the challenges and tests that were assigned to you, GLaDOS slowly builds up Aperture Science again…
