Assassins Creed Brotherhood Review by M3

Assassins Creed Brotherhood PC review
Death, war and tradition: three important things that make an amazing story. Let’s rewind, back to the 16th century. These years are known for chivalry, honour, and most of all, war and deceit. This is the magnificent, chaotic and infamous world of Assassins’ Creed. Ubisoft returns to the game series that has left a strong impression on gamers, with incredible gameplay, graphics and a fantastic story. Continue the story of Ezio Auditore and rid Italy of its Borgian infestation. This is Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.

Story: 8/10
A memorable game generally has a memorable storyline. The storyline of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is definitely a memorable one, both for its historical accuracy and imaginativeness. The story of Ezio Auditore will surely enthrall all gamers who play this game, and the many tidbits of information about certain buildings are sure to enthrall anyone who takes the time to read them. However, after playing through the game, I must say that the weird Piece of Eden thing is just plain weird. Ezio hides an incredible weapon in a futuristic, alien place that has bright lights that remind me of Tron. Honestly, not the best storyline. However, this is a minor blemish in an otherwise great storyline.

Gameplay: 8/10
Gameplay has played a huge role in making Assassin’s Creed a truly beloved game. Jumping about the winding streets of Rome, swinging from poles and hanging from ledges is really fun and definitely captures the imagination of many gamers. However, I feel the physics behind the game are slightly wonky. Firstly, you can survive amazing 60 foot drops as long as you happen to fall into a hay bale. I am quite sure that you’d still die if you did this in real life. Aside from a few minor problems such as this, I feel Assassin’s Creed does do its best to satisfy its customers, and although the athleticism portrayed by Ezio Auditore and Desmond are veritably impossible, it is really, really fun. Gamers can further explore the rest of 16th century Rome, completing the side quests and training amateur assassins to follow in your footsteps and aid in your quest to liberate Rome.

Controls and Camera: 8/10
The controls in this game are very simple, and Ubisoft makes it so that controlling you can control your character as best you can. The camera angles in this game are also quite alright, but at some stages it tends to be a little annoying.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood are simply EPIC. There are beautifully rendered scenes and backdrops, with a small part of St. Peter’s Basilica right behind you that really take your breath away. There are realistic buildings for you to climb about and for you to avoid guards with. There are nice, realistic graphics when concerning horses, and Ubisoft even makes the sound of their hooves realistic, changing as you walk on different things. The movements are fluid and very realistic; however I find that, once more, the physics may be a tad off. There seems to be a ragdoll effect when you kill someone. Limbs may be bending in queer angles and may look unsavoury (not the good kind of unsavousy, which is bloody and gory).

Multiplayer: 9.5/10
This is a new part of Assassin’s Creed and I find that Ubisoft has pulled it off flawlessly. The multiplayer places great emphasis on the sneaky aspect of the game and also proves that there are many ways to approach things. You could go among the rooftops, or blend in with the crowd. You could kill your target in stylish fashion, jumping from above and assassinating him, or hiding patiently in a hay bale to kill him as inconspicuously as possible. The multiplayer is surprisingly a level playing field. Each character is basically a carbon copy of the others, and it all depends on the skill of the gamer behind it. It is all a fair fight.

Conclusion: 8.5/10
A fantastic game that does justice to the magnificent series it belongs to, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood may very well be the best game in the series so far. Ubisoft has streamlined Brotherhood’s predecessors, taking out the bad and enhancing the good.

Simply put:
1. If you are a huge fan of Assassin’s Creed, you will love this game
2. If you generally don’t like these types of games, you will love this game
3. If you have never played Assassin’s Creed before, you will love this game.
4. If you hate videogames, you will love this game.

**Note that M3 has NEVER played any Assassin Creed games and Brotherhood is his first one, and when he started, he was immediately addicted to the game and literally couldn’t stop playing it…that was part of the reason he wrote the review rather late..anyways.. hope you had enjoyed and had benefitted! :D

Game hosts might assign certain items to be worn or actions to be performed that protect the wearer or performer from elimination. These items or actions are called safeties. The safety can last for one specific day or last for the duration of the game. By wearing silly items or performing outlandish actions, players have more fun and can spread knowledge of the game to people not currently playing.
