With an all new arsenal of lethal weapons and the appearance of a newly revived enemy which has annoyed the gears since the first game, this is said to be the final game in the entire series; but whether it will be the final series, like the all-along favorite Halo: Reach, I reckon all of us would not want that to happen…
Story
18 months after the destruction of Jacinto (seen in GOW 2), Delta squad has now moved to a new environment on the island of Vectus. Though the battle was over at Jacinto, the war was far from over as the locust presence is still strong. The Imulsion (a liquid fuel) that powered the human’s cities have now mutated the locust into even more vile, dangerous creatures called the Lambent. Though they have fought against the Gears sometime in the later stages of GOW 1&2, they have now become a new force to deal with.Gameplay
Weird yet totally awesome, new weapons have been introduced, finally a 2-barrelled shotgun! This also includes a normal COG assault rifle with a bayonet lancer from the Pendulum wars, which was years before Gears of war 1. Plus, an incendiary grenade, and a new Sniper rifle called “One shot” which is rumored to powerful enough to bring down a Brumak! With these weapons come a “Mech” suit called the silver back, which has a machine gun and a rocket launcher attached. Also, be prepared to execute your enemies in never-seen before awesome cooler ways in the multiplayer and single player modes. |

Deadly Rival?
As said, a new enemy has risen, the Lambent. These are related to their locust cousins; however they are mutated into wired creations. With this, an old, powerful opponent, who is said to be the toughest in the game as come back. The Beserker. Having only been seen in Gears of War 1 as a bulletproof monster capable of ripping a person in half, with acute hearing and smell for his sense of direction as it is blind as a bat, it has mutated into something faster, cunning and deadlier than ever with sharp tentacles protruding from its back. An all new “Beast” mode has been introduced into the game; this type of game mode shows the player using locust classes which have never been used in multiplayer matches. Such classes include the wretch, boomer and a ticker. New executions and other tweaks have been made.Conspiracy?
Since Gears of war 1, the Carmines have had a horrible and tragic life. Anthony Carmine, killed by a sniper (GOW1). Ben Carmine, eaten alive inside a gigantic worm which was the reason for the sinking of the cities (GOW2). Now the next brother’s fate is being decided, Clayton Carmine. A vote was set up to decide whether this Carmine should live or perish with his 2 dead brothers. Apparently, “SAVE CARMINE” is right now leading.
