World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Preview by Featured Guest M3

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
World of Warcraft players have witnessed the world they were introduced to in later 2004 and has changed a lot over the years. There was the Burning Crusade, which allowed players to hack and slash against demons and each other. Then there was Wrath of the Lich King, which let players kill undead, animals and thier rival enemies. Now, come December 7 2010, Blizzard will introduce a whole new World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, where players are expected to slain ancient monsters, destroy elementals and eliminate the god-forsaken dragons. The World of Wacraft universe will experience a dramatic change and the legendary dragon Deathwing will make his return.

Info
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is the third expansion to the MMORPG World of Warcraft. The main plot behind this expansion is based around The Shattering, a gigantic earthquake that literally destroyed several parts of the planet. Many of the classic zones are changed dramatically: some deserts flooded, some forests are cut down and a really big gash is cut through a continent. Seriously, nothing too unusual for the WOW series.

Story
The story behind the main factions also dramatically changes. Thrall, the leader of the Horde leaves, leaving his second-in-command, Garrosh, in charge. The two races, the Gnomes and Trolls undergo a huge change. The Gnomes recapture the city of Gnomeregan, and are also given their own new starting zone. The Trolls also get their own city, and their own starting zone.

New Features
Much like The Burning Crusade, new races are made available. The Worgen, a bunch of werewolf people, join the Alliance and the Horde gets Goblins. Furthermore, the level cap is raised to 85 and new zones, dungeons and raids are made available. A new secondary skill, Archaeology is introduced and a new concept called reforging is introduced as well. Malfurion, the leader of the Night Elves, awakens from the Emerald Nightmare and works to save Mount Hyjal from utter destruction.
