It's about halfway through the console life-cycle and rumors are saying that Sony is about to announce a price cut for their leading game console PS3. MCV mentioned that Sony may be releasing the statement at the upcoming Gamescon event in August. Industry traders are saying that the price may drop to $199.99 and retail stores for as low as $179.99.
